Is leaving the only option when you desperately want something and the one person you love more than anything in this world does not. This person knows your heart but is unwilling to change their mind to appease you. Not the something you want is a simple thing that could be easily acquired and adjusted to. It is life altering and not something to be taken lightly.
I love my fiancé with my entire heart, but my biological clock is beginning to tick and loudly. Unfortunately, he is adamant about not having children. Up until recently, I had not really wanted children all that much either. I was in a if I have them I have them, if I don’t I don’t mode, but now things are changing in me. I mean occasionally the thought had crossed my mind that I might really, really want them, but it hasn’t been until the last two years or so that I have become almost engulfed with the idea of having a child of my own. Now that I am pushing thirty, I see babies all over the place. Literally. Everyone I know has children. I have become obsessed.
I love my fiancé but I don’t know if I can stay with him if he continues to insist on not having children. I don’t know if he will ever be enough to make my life complete. He should be. I should not want anything more than him. Most of the time when I am with him I feel sedated, complete, but the ache in my heart is getting worse the older I get.
I think this has all been made worse because of the fact that I have recently had a miscarriage. He did not take the news of my pregnancy well and I nearly left him over that. But most of the men I know reacted badly when their wives/girlfriends/fiancés etc. told them they were pregnant. So I figured it was a guy thing and ignored it. Hopefully, in a few months the need will dissipate and I can go back to my life.
We use the withdrawal method during sex and that has worked well for us for nearly ten years, in the keeping me from getting pregnant department. He is unwilling to change our methods. Therefore, the chances of us ever having another accident/surprise are slim. That fact makes me very sad.
I really do not know what I should do. I don’t want to leave him. I love him and desperately want to have his children, but . . . . . . . .

A Dead Tradition
I know that once we hit a certain age we all begin to feel as if we are losing our family traditions. We feel like the old ways were being lost and the ties that bind us as a family are slowly but surely coming undone. Because this is coming from me, most people I know would ignore the following claim. I have always been the “adult” amongst my friends; therefore they ignore me when I talk about such things. They think I am overly sentimental about things.
Today I really wish I were that person, because yesterday I watched one of my families biggest traditions die. My grandmother and my mother have always been the ones to cook both Christmas and Thanksgiving Dinner. When I got older I joined. My mom was the only one of her siblings to ever take it upon herself to help my grandmother and I have been the only grandchild. I tried getting my goddaughter/cousin to help, but she would play around a little, help a little and then go on about her business.
For the last few years my grandmother has had a hard time cooking and this year my mother has gotten too disabled to do any of it by herself. I helped the best I could, doing all of the heavy lifting, stirring, etcetera, but my help was not enough, not with the amount of food that has to be cooked for my extremely large family.
Because of their health problems, my mother and grandmother decided that next year we would all pitch in and reserve a room at a restaurant or something. Now, I did not like this idea but, since I was the only one left to cook and refused to do it by myself, I resigned myself to agreeing to do it. .
At the time the decision was made, only one of my aunts was there and she agreed to this arrangement. All of this was making me real sad. The only person who really disagreed was another aunt of mine. She claims that she will help me do the cooking next year, but considering the woman is literally certifiable, I doubt she will actually do it. Apparently, I am the only one who cares. I should not say that, a few other people said they will help but my family is so full of broken promises that they cannot be trusted.
I know what you are thinking, if these people are so bad than why do I care about keeping this tradition? My answer is, I really do not know. They are MY family, what can I say. I love them no matter how dysfunctional they are. Actually, I think I want this more for my grandparents than I want it for myself. I truly feel that once they are gone my entire family will fall apart. I wonder if that will be such a bad thing. Families don’t mean shit anymore. Our society is too f@^#&$* selfish anymore to care about anything beyond their own self satisfaction.
I really hope everyone had a wonder turkey day. I am sorry this is such a downer, but my holiday kind of sucked.

Ignorance of Others
How do you tell a grown person that they have said something ignorant? They have no problem correcting you, or well they think they are correcting you, yet you actually know more about the subject than they do and are actually correct. They think just because they are older than you they are that they are more intelligent but in reality you are an adult yourself and actually feel that they are not as intelligent as they should be.
Two people, I know well and had always thought was well educated, has somehow shifted their thought processes in a desperate need to be right, but they are wrong and it is obvious they are wrong. But because they do not want to be wrong they are distorting reality and the facts to make themselves look right. Unfortunately, in reality, to anyone who bothers to check facts, knows they are just saying things to say them. I feel bad for this person, because they do deserve respect, but I feel that I am slowly loosing respect for them and am afraid others will also if they continue saying such things.
It is hard to loose respect for certain people, especially those you have always thought to be educated and deserving respect, because it shatters your reality when they do things or say things that cause you to loose their respect. For a long time I had been able to have discussions, some heated, but most not so much, with these people. Most of the time, I could understand their point of view on things and see why they could come to a certain way of thinking about things, and vise versa. But now, they are so dead set on being right about something that they are, as of right now wrong about, that they are saying things that are incorrect and ignorant.
I feel even worse for them when they say them in front of others, some impressionable some not, because I can see them loosing that respect in others.

Why Do Poeple Email Me Such Things
I received this in an email the other day and was very disturbed by it. At first I just sent it to my trash folder, but my mind kept going back to it and back to it. I just could not believe what I had read. I don’t know who this Michael Richards is (not a Seinfeld fan) or if he even wrote this. This was in a forwarded email, and we all know that most forwards are not reliable sources for anything. Saying that, I should probably not be replying to it, but if things like this can be sent to me then I think I have a right to send out a reply. Everything in italics (and green on by screen . . . may not be green once I post it) is from the email. I plan on replying to each individual statement made in the email, so this will be long.
This is great. I have been wondering about why Whites are racists, and no other race is. Proud to be White. You are proud to be black, brown, and yellowand orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists
First of all, I am proud to be white. Everyone should be proud of who they are and what their heritage is. I am a large part Native American, Cherokee on both sides of my family. One of my great, great, great etc. grandfathers was Chief of a Cherokee tribe, Whitecloud was his name. I don’t look it but my mother and a few others in my family do. My skin is pale, nearly Casperish, my hair is medium brown. I am also part German, and I think some Irish. Like many other people in this country, who are not full blooded Native American, some of my Ancestors came here from other countries. I cannot trace, well have not, fully traced my heritage as far back as I can. Also, like 99% of the people in this country I was born here, that makes me a citizen, an American. Being an American is my heritage. Yes parts of me want to know more about my Native American blood and I find it sad that the Native American languages are becoming extinct but I have been too lazy to follow through with it. Therefore, yes I am proud to be what I am, but that does not back me hate anyone else for who they are nor do I think I am better than anyone else because they don’t look like me.
Second of all, everyone is racist and judgmental to an extent. It is sad, I know, but it is true. No matter who you are, you are racist. People are scared of anything or anyone they think is different from them. No matter how hard you try, you cannot stop your mind from thinking something or reacting to something. The point is to overcome it, to not say what you were thinking, to learn why you feel that way, to try and do better.
Thirdly, we do it to ourselves. Take this email for one thing. It is things like this that tell other people that white people are still racist. Saying stupid, ignorant things like this is what makes other people dislike us. Take learning a second language for another. I have tried to teach my nieces and nephews a few Spanish words. I am not fluent in the language, in any sense of the word, but teaching them helps me keep up with what I already know plus it teaches them that there are other cultures, other languages in the world, it teaches them to look past their own front door, so to speak. Unfortunately, two of my brother-n-laws (well one technically is not my brother-n-law, he is my best-friends husband but since she is like a sister to me he I his my brother-n-law) have taken issue with this because . . . well because they are racist towards, Mexico really, I am not sure if they ever realize that Spanish is spoken in more countries than Mexico.
Michael Richards makes his point... ichael Richards better known as Kramer from TVs Seinfeld does make a good point. This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points... Someone finally said it... How many are actually paying attention to this?
I vaguely remember the events mentioned above. What I do remember about it was that what he said was racist. It was uncalled for, though I am not sure about the whole court issue. As I have said before in other posts, I live in the south and if every time anyone of any race said anything racist about another group of people, we went to court over this, the entire state would live in court. I am not saying he should not have to apologize to all those people he offended, especially those there that night, for saying it.
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman' ... and that's OK. But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... You call me a racist.
I guess these comments will all be in parts so here goes. First of all why would they be calling you that for no reason? No one, civilized, does that. I live in the south, the Deep South, and people don’t do that. I go to a fairly large university, with, I could not tell you how many, different types of people, and have never seen anyone do that. I work in a down town area and frequently walk the back alleys and main streets and people have never done this to me or anyone else on the street. I might get a few alcoholics mumbling to themselves but no one making racial slurs about anyone else, at least not out loud for anyone to hear.
You are welcome to your own opinion in your own home or to your own personal group of people. I have been with a group of people and someone has said to us something bad about another person but not directly to their face, and most of the time we ganged up as a group on whoever said the “bad” thing and shut them up. I have been with straight people who talk about gay people, gay people who talk about straight people, white people about black people and black people about white people. Again no one is above it. For the most part though, no really says anything bad about another person or group of people directly to their faces.
They only time I have ever heard openly racist things said about anyone was when there was an argument going on, and for the most part those things were said out of anger, and to purposely hurt or enrage the other person. I am limited in my knowledge of the subject, I guess, to where I live. So maybe it is like this in other places and I am sure there are some ignorant people out there who would openly say something like that to or about someone else, black, white, Hispanic, Chinese, Japanese, poor, wealthy, gay, straight, educated, non-educated, etc. but I don’t see it as an everyday all day thing.
I am not gorgeous by any means but I do have Dolly Parton (but real, though not perky) breast, and occasionally some “man” will eye ball them or say some thing about them, but for the most part most people are civilized and don’t. Most of our population is intelligent enough not to do this and no one group can take responsibility for what a small portion of their group does. So if you hear some thing like this, be the bigger person and not acknowledge it and walk away. No one said it was “ok” for them to do this, so don’t act like they did.
Secondly, because it is not “ok” for them to call you racist names, it is not ok for you to call them such things, and yes they are being racist to call you such things and you are being racist to call them such things. (I refuse to repeat the words he listed.)
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you... so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live? You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug- dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist. I am proud... But you call me a racist. Why is it that only whites can be racists??
Ghettos are not full of just black people. They are full of low income families of all races. Crimes are not just committed in these ghettos, either, they are committed every where people live and are committed by everyone. I do not have the statistic’s in front of me, but yes from what I have heard poor countries, states, cities, neighborhoods have a higher amout of violence. The poorer a person is the more desperate they get. The more desperate they get the more they tend to result to breaking the law. If I haven’t eaten in a few days I am sure I would still some food.
You have the United Negro College Fund. If we had a college fund that
only gave white students scholarships .You know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US. Yet if there were 'White colleges' That would be a racist college. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month.. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET... If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we'd be racists. We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?
First of all, I agree that we are coming upon a time where everyone should able to get a good education, but remember not too long ago it was not so, and someone had to help those who were being denied this right based on their race. Hopefully very soon we will not need such things. Although, why a white man would be complaining about such a thing, is beyond me. It isn’t like he is being denied. No one with half decent grades and the will power is going to be denied an education or the funding for the education. There are scholarships out there for everyone and for every field; you just have to apply yourself. When I finally graduate I will have a huge financial debt, but that is the price I will have to pay to get the education to get a decent job.
Secondly, every culture, every religion, hell every city or town has its on holiday. So get used to it, they are not taking yours away I promise.
Thirdly, yes, you would be racists if you had a television show called WET, especially considering that the largest chuck of talk shows, news shows, etch have predominately white hosts. We you live in a country where most of the actors are white, your television hosts are white, etc, you don’t have to have such things because you are not in the minority and your needs are already being catered to. If white people did not hold the monopoly on such things in this country, then no, no one would have a problem if there was a WET Chanel.
If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists. If we had White History Month, we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR, lives we'd be racists.
Again, white people don’t need such things. There is not need for a White history month. White people have been the dominate force in the world for a long time. They know their history. No one tried to cover up who they were or what they invented. Their books, especially white men’s, were published without question, they have always had the right to vote, always had the right to anything they wanted. What do they need an organization to ‘advance’ their lives for, they already have and can get anything they want, which is why they would sound racist for say, doing, or organizing such things.
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

Being proud of who you are will never be a crime and your persecution comes form the attitude you show others. We you live in a country where most of the actors are white, your television hosts are white, etc, you don’t have to have such things because you are not in the minority and your needs are already being catered to. If white people did not hold the monopoly on such things in this country, then no, no one would have a problem if there was a WET Chanel.
If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists. If we had White History Month, we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR, lives we'd be racists.
Again, white people don’t need such things. There is not need for a White history month. White people have been the dominate force in the world for a long time. They know their history. No one tried to cover up who they were or what they invented. Their books, especially white men’s, were published without question, they have always had the right to vote, always had the right to anything they wanted. What do they need an organization to ‘advance’ their lives for, they already have and can get anything they want, which is why they would sound racist for say, doing, or organizing such things.
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
I am not replying to this, except to say that this is petty.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
White people don’t need to march for anything; their rights are not being violated.

Bored Now
I apologize, to anyone out there actually reading my rants, for the fact that I have not posted in a long while. This past week has been long and tiresome. Not too much has happened. I have spent a good deal of my free time reading Stephanie Meyers’ Twilight series.
They are cute, and, though they are a tad bit juvenile, they are entrancing. She has no sex scenes, her fight scenes are played down, and some of the dialogue is mushy, but she gives a great deal of description and emotion. The stories seem to be a little long but I love that about them. When she wrights about Forks, La Push, Phoenix, and the many other locations, in the book, I can feel myself there. All of her scenes are vivid, well thought out, and keep you reading.
I read the first two books this week, and just as soon as I do some work for my grad school class, I will pick up the third. I have also been a little sick this week, as I am sure most people have. Tis the season.
Speaking of which, my mother put up her Christmas Tree yesterday. Normally she waits until after Thanksgiving, like a normal person, but this year she didn’t. I am sure it has something to do with her having her granddaughters here for Christmas, for the first time.
That is all I really have to say for now. I got another annoying email the other day, not about Obama. Though, I would like to remind everyone that he is not in office yet and will not be until late January. Therefore, he cannot be blamed for any of Bush’s dumb polices, at least not until the end of his first year in office. So please stop telling me about how one leader or another has “called him out” or how this plan or that, of his, is ruining your job, because he hasn’t done anything yet.
Oh, back to the email. I got something the other day I want to reply to but it may take me a bit to compose it. Just thought you should be warned that just because the election is over does not mean I am done ranting. Therapy takes years.

Gun Sales on the Rise
Today’s rant comes straight from an article posted on yahoo.com’s homepage. This article, again, makes me wonder if it really is me that needs therapy or is it everyone else. The head line read “Fears of Democrat crackdown lead to gun sales boom”. Now at first glance I did think this article was going in a completely different direction than it went, which was why I read it. Even though it did not go into some ridiculous direction where white people thought they were going to be hunted by the black people or Crazy Christians really thought he is some crazy terrorist from the Muslim religion was here to kill the infidels, it did get a little too off the wall for me.
The article starts out with “when 10-year-old Austin Smith heard Barack Obama had been elected president, he had one question: Does this mean I won't get a new gun for Christmas?” I nearly fell out of my chair. I guess my small town is a lot bigger than other people’s small town. I knew no one at the age of 10 who got a gun for any occasion or for any reason. When my brother was in his teens my dad got him a BB Gun, but then it was taken away from him because he kept shooting live animals with it. I never understood why he was given the gun to begin with.
I read later on in the article that the little boy’s mother claimed that she “taught all five of her children — ages 4 to 10 — to shoot because the family relies on game for food.” In a way I can understand that, but the article also says that she was buying a “special 20-gauge shotgun — one of at least five weapons she plans to buy before Obama takes office in January.” I know nothing about guns, so I googled the gun. It looks like every other hunting gun I have ever seen, so I trust that she is telling the truth. Although, if her family relies on game for food then I have to think that she has at least one gun already at home, if not, if she gets all that she wants to get before January, she will have at least six guns. That just seems a little much, to me. I don’t understand the need for that many guns. One or two maybe but six just seems, I don’t know. . .
Maybe she wants one for each child. Either way I can almost understand her need for them. I don’t know if I like the idea of any child knowing how to shoot a gun, unless, that child happens to John Connor and Skynet is after him, but I respect a mother’s right to teach her children if she deems it necessary.
I am not one of those people who think guns should be outlawed, but I do believe in strict gun laws. I believe certain guns should not be owned by the average person (there will never be a need for the average citizen have an assault weapon, NEVER) , because I do not believe they are necessary. I do respect that people feel they should be protected, but seriously people there is only so much protection you need, and do remember that sometimes the law is not going to work in your favor because of that gun. Also the average person really does not know how to handle a gun. Most people do not go to the firing range enough to be completely comfortable with it, and even if they do most of the time in intense situations people get a little too trigger happy, or trigger scared.
We do not live in a country where it is necessary for the average person to have a gun, of any kind. We do not have rebel forces blowing up our towns, taking our wives and children, or any thing like that. I do realize that there are some places in this country that are very dangerous to live in, but if you want to make them safer interact in them. Don’t just stock pile weapons and wait for the day they come knocking on you door, or well shooting up your door. Help a child, who is potentially going to grow up and join a gang, to get a better education. Help your society. Stop looking down on people you think are lower than you and help them rise above; help know that a better life is out there.
Also stop blaming the system for these laws and look to yourselves and others as the cause for them. The government, the man, the system, the, whatever you want to call it, has set up these laws for a reason. As long as you have idiot war lords, gang members, and other crazies doing crazies things with guns, you are going to have these laws. Also as long as people continue to want things that they just really do not need, they are going to be around. Again if your son isn’t John Connor and you are not trying to save him from Terminators, you probably do not need machine guns, or bazookas, or anything else crazy like that, and if your son really is John Connor you have worse things to worry about that gun laws.
The thing that worried me the most about the article are the following quotes
"More than 108,000 more background checks for gun purchases than in October 2007, a 15 percent increase."
"Franklin Gun Shop outside Nashville, Tenn., sold more than 70 guns on Tuesday, making it the biggest sales day since the shop opened eight years ago."
"Sold nine assault weapons the day after Obama was elected. That same day, the gun store Cheaper Than Dirt! in Fort Worth, Texas, sold $101,000 worth of merchandise, shattering its single-day sales record, store owner DeWayne Irwin said."
That tells me a lot of things that I really do not want to believe about my country. It tells me a lot more than what the article actually says. I will not go into what I think this says, mostly because it doesn’t actually say it and I do not want anyone claiming that the writer of the article said it. But it makes me wonder just how stupid the people of this country really are. It also shows me just how overly emotional they are and how easy they can be mislead and scared.

Maybe it is not me that needs therapy.
Maybe it is the rest of the world that needs therapy. I was speaking with my best-friend today about the election and a number of other issues that have come up since Obama began is campaign, well that is not true some of these issues have been around since the beginning of time. Anyways, we were discussing the ignorance of the world, the BS that people actually believe without question or thought, and a long list of other things. When we were discussing the racial issue she told me that some one actually said in her presence, I am not sure if it was about her son or not, that mixed children were going to hell. I nearly fell out of my chair. I got so mad that I think I black out for a second. I could not believe someone could actually say something so horribly wrong. I am constantly being amazed by the things she tells me she has had to listen to throughout her life. I am so upset about it that I don’t really know what to say. I just cannot believe it. The only thing that I think is that maybe I am not the one that crazy; maybe I am one of the few sane patients on this insanity ward. No I am not really in an insane asylum. I just feel like it sometimes.

I have never been more proud of my country than I was last night. I have never cried in joy over the election of a new president. I didn’t even cry in sorrow when Bush was reelected, that was because I didn’t hate the, I just strongly didn’t want him to be back in office (I was right by the way). I feel relief for the first time in my adult life. I feel safe for the first time. I really feel that now we can be as great of a country as we should be. I have faith, a faith I have never had before, in this country. Granted as a child, teenager, and young adult I did not pay enough attention to the world around me to care, but once I did start to listen, I did begin to lose faith. I am no longer afraid. The road ahead will be long, it will be hard, but we will make it. I know that some promises will have to go on the back burner while more immediate issues take priority. I know that he is not the only one making decisions, but I know that he will do as much as he possibly can to bring this country back to its feet.
I am saddened by the reactions of a few people in my life, reactions that I did not expect from what I would have thought were intelligent adults, but that is life. I am just worried for them and about what their hate will do to this country. It is one thing to disagree with a person’s politics but it is another to spread lies and arouse hate about a person’s character. You have to take responsibility for the things you say, and think about what you want to teach your children. Do you want to teach them that someone said so and so was this type of person and we should be scared of them, we should hate them? No, you have to be more responsible than that. For one, be informed before you open your mouth. Two, heed your mother’s words “If you cannot say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”
Most importantly be informed and only repeat and believe what was actually said by the person themselves, and not what others say about them. For instance, if you still think Obama is a terrorist Muslim, stop telling me you did research, because we both know you didn’t look up that information. You just heard it from someone who heard it from some one. If you would just stop and think about that for a second you would realize just how stupid that sounds.
Here is why. The only fact that you need is a fact that you do not even have to search through websites or books to find. The fact is we live in a post 9-11 world. We also live in a world that is still full of racism. I know that our election of an African American into the White House proves that we have come a long way, but that doesn’t mean it is gone. We may be getting better with the black and white issue, but we still harbor racist feelings against those that are different from us. Which means, after 9-11 a large section of this country became prejudice against anyone Middle Eastern and against any that was thought to Middle Eastern.
I say that to say that if anyone had ever really thought the Obama was a terrorist Muslim . . . noticed I added the word terrorist to it, because after 9-11 everyone of the Muslim religion were lumped into one large group, without anyone actually realizing that not all Muslims hate Americans, not all Muslims interpret the Koran the same way, and not all of them bombed the shit out of us. The term Muslim became associated with terrorism, when in reality it was only a small sect of that religion that attacked us, that have raged a war against us and that hate us with every ounce of themselves. Most don’t care about us, they don’t know us, and they just want to live their lives, worship their religion and to be left alone.
OK back to what I was saying, if anyone really thought that Obama was a terrorist he would have never made it into any public office in this country. GET OVER YOURSELVES. SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE A RACIST IDIOT.

For most of us, today has been, and will continue to be, a very momentous day. I live in a fairly small town and for the first time I actually had to wait in line to vote. I have never been so proud of people I have never met. I have also never been more proud of a few people in my life. I have recently received news that a few people that I seriously thought were going to vote a certain way because they were racist voted against their racisms and for the needs of the country. I nearly cried when I was told how they voted.
No matter what happens, though, I am proud to be a part of this country, and a part of this historic election.

Watch What You Say.
I have something pretty shocking to say, something that most people on both sides of the line are going to think is a little crazy, but right this second I feel very strongly about it. I need to say that I am sure Obama would not even agree with me, not that I know him personally and can proclaim to know what he would or would not think. The closest I have ever come to meeting this man is in a dream I had about having an affair with him (sorry Michelle). In my defense I think he was single in the dream, and I have, also, had dreams where I hung out with Sarah Pallin. Other than her political views, I think she is pretty awesome.
What I have to say is this. I live in the south, Alabama to be more precise, and, as I have said before, my fiancé lives, literally, next door to a family that is notoriously racist. I will not go into details, because I cannot bring myself to think about it. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people in the world who think this way. It is sad, and I do not understand it, but I cannot deny that it is there. Because there are still so many crazy people in the world, I think people should learn to watch what they say. I also think that people in higher authority should take charge of such things, and put a stop to them before things get out of control.
If I was voting, for a president on non-political issues, I would still vote for Obama, because I feel that the Republican people, party and Candidate are doing this country an injustice by not taking control of some of these horrendous things that are circulating about Obama, things that have been proven to be blatant lies. I understand that they want people to vote for McCain, and some of the things they say and do, I understand. Bash his economic policy, his health care policy, etc., those things I understand. But letting their people spread untrue rumors; like he is a terrorist and other things that could get him killed, is irresponsible. The big thing I really want to say is that if anything happens to him because of these rumors, everyone who spread them should be held accountable for them. I say this knowing that some of these people are my friends and family. I don’t know what the punishment should be, but they should be punished.
I am disappointed that McCain has not stepped up, been a man, addressed these things, and went on about his campaign. If I were running, I would not want to associate my campaign with such things. Whether or not he agrees with these things, though some of them his people have started them themselves, or not he needs to say he doesn’t, tell people to focus on the issues and grow up, and then go on about his real issues.
We are not in high school any more people; things like this can affect people’s lives. It is defacement of Obama’s character and should be dealt with accordingly. We as US citizens need to learn to take responsibility for our actions, and the actions of our leaders. These last few elections have gotten completely out of control, and we need to fix the system. We as a society need to stop caring about how much money Sarah Pallin and Michelle Obama paid for their clothes and care more about how we are going to pick our society up out of this muddy whole we have dug for ourselves, and to do it we have to start acting like rational, logical, adults, not like sixteen year olds who are guided by our over stimulated hormones.
We have become a society that reaches for the gossip mags instead of the newspaper, and our leaders are treating us as such. They know that people tend to care about how many babies Angelina Jolie is having or not having, than what their government is really doing, that is why they try and distract us with such BS. Don’t get me wrong, both sides do it that is the sad part. The worse part is that with each election worse and worse things are being said, things that could really hurt someone. No one is going to kill John McCain for not knowing how many homes he has, but there is someone crazy enough to believe Obama is a terrorist especially if Republicans keep saying it is so. They know it is not true, most intelligent people on this planet know it is not true, but some groups of peoples are going to hear this, think it is true and do some thing about it, and it is going to be each and every person’s, that participated in spreading the lies, fault and they should be punished for it. You cannot just say anything you want, about someone and expect there not to be consequences. I understand that each and every person that says these things cannot be punished, but for some reason I feel it is important for me to tell them that they should be.

I understand that they want people to vote for McCain, and some of the things they say and do, I understand. Bash his economic policy, his health care policy, etc., those things I understand. But letting their people spread untrue rumors; like he is a terrorist and other things that could get him killed, is irresponsible. The big thing I really want to say is that if anything happens to him because of these rumors, everyone who spread them should be held accountable for them. I say this knowing that some of these people are my friends and family. I don’t know what the punishment should be, but they should be punished.
I am disappointed that McCain has not stepped up, been a man, addressed these things, and went on about his campaign. If I were running, I would not want to associate my campaign with such things. Whether or not he agrees with these things, though some of them his people have started them themselves, or not he needs to say he doesn’t, tell people to focus on the issues and grow up, and then go on about his real issues.
We are not in high school any more people; things like this can affect people’s lives. It is defacement of Obama’s character and should be dealt with accordingly. We as US citizens need to learn to take responsibility for our actions, and the actions of our leaders. These last few elections have gotten completely out of control, and we need to fix the system. We as a society need to stop caring about how much money Sarah Pallin and Michelle Obama paid for their clothes and care more about how we are going to pick our society up out of this muddy whole we have dug for ourselves, and to do it we have to start acting like rational, logical, adults, not like sixteen year olds who are guided by our over stimulated hormones.
We have become a society that reaches for the gossip mags instead of the newspaper, and our leaders are treating us as such. They know that people tend to care about how many babies Angelina Jolie is having or not having, than what their government is really doing, that is why they try and distract us with such BS. Don’t get me wrong, both sides do it that is the sad part. The worse part is that with each election worse and worse things are being said, things that could really hurt someone. No one is going to kill John McCain for not knowing how many homes he has, but there is someone crazy enough to believe Obama is a terrorist especially if Republicans keep saying it is so. They know it is not true, most intelligent people on this planet know it is not true, but some groups of peoples are going to hear this, think it is true and do some thing about it, and it is going to be each and every person’s, that participated in spreading the lies, fault and they should be punished for it. You cannot just say anything you want, about someone and expect there not to be consequences. I understand that each and every person that says these things cannot be punished, but for some reason I feel it is important for me to tell them that they should be.
